fairSpace – 3 subsidised music rehearsal rooms in Moabit available on a long-term basis
At Lehrter Straße in Moabit we are offering three subsidised music rehearsal rooms. fairSpace is for professional artists who face barriers to accessing subsidised spaces. For example because of disability or illness, missing networks, language barriers, discrimination or gaps in their CV.
Musicians, composers, ensembles and collectives of all styles can apply. You upload a portfolio with three audio samples and the required forms, and briefly describe which barriers you face. You do not need proof for this, and everything stays confidential. You can apply in German or English. An independent expert panel decides.
Address: Lehrter Straße 61, 10557 Berlin-Moabit, 800 metres from Hauptbahnhof
Spaces: 3 rehearsal rooms, each approx. 13 m² plus communal area, on the ground floor and first floor
Start of tenancy: expected to be 01.04.2027, for up to 4 years
Rent: Subsidised under the State of Berlin’s workspace programme; currently 5.00 EUR/m² (gross, including heating), about 112 to 114 EUR a month including electricity. New funding guidelines are expected from January 2027, so the rent may change.
Information event: Monday, 16.11.2026, 2–4 pm, online, with interpreting into German Sign Language (DGS). Registration by the day before required.
