Kultur Räume Berlin, represented by Kulturraum Berlin gGmbH, awards subsidised spaces for the artistic work of Berlin’s independent performing arts community as part of the Workspace Programme (ARP). The Workspace Programme is a funding instrument for providing and securing spaces for art and cultural activities in the state of Berlin.

In Breitenbachstr. 34–36 in Berlin-Reinickendorf, Kultur Räume Berlin is letting two subsidised workspaces for the literature sector for long-term use.

The spaces are located in a comprehensively refurbished former stocking factory, which now houses 37 subsidised workspaces across all artistic disciplines. Large windows let in plenty of daylight, the flooring is wooden parquet or laminate, and some of the spaces come with built-in cupboards. They are let unfurnished, so you can set them up entirely around Your own working habits. Shared tea kitchens, showers and WCs, a goods lift and a generous access road for deliveries are all part of the building; the surrounding neighbourhood is commercially characterised.

Location: Breitenbachstraße 34–36, 13509 Berlin
Start of use: expected from 01.02.2027
Space sizes: 12 and 28 m²
Rental period: a maximum of four years
Rent: EUR 5.00/m² (gross inclusive of heating, plus flat-rate electricity charge)
Application deadline: 04.11.2026

Applications are welcome from professionally working freelance authors, literary translators, editors, writers’ groups and collectives as well as independent publishing projects. Also suitable for shared use. Apply now via our web portal.
