Kultur Räume Berlin, represented by Kulturraum Berlin gGmbH, awards subsidised spaces for the artistic work of Berlin’s independent performing arts community as part of the Workspace Programme (ARP). The Workspace Programme is a funding instrument for providing and securing spaces for art and cultural activities in the state of Berlin.

The workspace for literature on offer is located in the Berlin-Tempelhof district. The four-storey brick building was built in 1926 as a workshop building on the grounds of the telegraph office (architect: Otto Spalding). The listed building was rented for the Workspace Programme in the summer of 2022. The property is used across all disciplines by the visual arts (studios on the ground floor as well as the 1st to 3rd floor), literature (on the 4th floor) and for a project space (on the ground floor). The other spaces are already let on long-term leases.
