Kultur Räume Berlin, represented by Kulturraum Berlin gGmbH, awards subsidised spaces for the artistic work of Berlin’s independent performing arts sector as part of the Workspace Programme (ARP). The Workspace Programme is a funding instrument for providing and securing spaces for art and cultural activities in the state of Berlin.

We are offering subsidised project space at Seestr. 49 in Berlin’s Wedding district. Situated in the Osramkiez neighbourhood, the ground-floor space has direct access from the street. It is particularly well-suited to exhibitions and other publicly accessible events related to the visual arts.

We are seeking artists, curators, project space initiatives, collectives, or associations with a compelling concept for the space and its programme for a self-organised, publicly accessible project. The focus is on exhibitions featuring fine art. Other formats, such as performance art, sound art, film, radio, talk series, workshops and other discursive and experimental formats, are possible if they meaningfully expand the artistic profile of the project space.

Address: Seestr. 49, 13347 Berlin-Wedding
Space: approx. 150 m²
Expected availability: 01.04.2027
Rental period: maximum of five years
Rent: Subsidised as part of the Workspace Programme of the State of Berlin, 4.09 EUR/m² gross warm (plus electricity flat rate)
Application deadline: 09.08.2026

The funding is aimed exclusively at project spaces that are defined by an independent curatorial profile in the visual arts. It is not possible to apply for use as a studio.
