New: Kultur Räume Studios

Since 2021 Kultur Räume Berlin has been awarding subsidised rehearsal spaces to professional artists for use over several years. In 2022, the offer was expanded with “Kultur Räume Kontingente” to include rehearsal spaces that can be rented by the hour, day or week. Now we are launching a new space offer for artists from Berlin’s independent scene: Kultur Räume Studios.

With Kultur Räume Studios we are creating new locations for artistic production in the disciplines of performing arts, dance and music. Here rehearsal spaces can be booked by the hour, day or week at subsidised conditions. Unlike Kultur Räume Kontingente, a programme in which professional artists can use limited time quotas (40 hours/month) to rehearse at established, well-equipped venues, Kultur Räume Studios are available 100% to professional artists from Berlin’s independent scene. This is our response to the immense demand for rehearsal space for temporary use.
From mid-July we will be launching the first Kultur Räume Studio for music: the “Musikproberaum Wilhelmsaue”.

In Wilhelmsaue, in the heart of Wilmersdorf, professional musician will have access to a rehearsal space that can be booked by the hour, day or week.

With around 300 m², the Musikproberaum Wilhelmsaue, located on the second floor of the First Church of Christ, Wissenschafter, is suitable for band, ensemble and orchestra rehearsals.

Registration and booking will be activated mid-July and is easily done online, and for access to the Kultur Räume Studios we use a modern, digital key system.

Further Kultur Räume Studios for the disciplines performing arts and dance are planned for 2024. You will find more information on this website shortly.
