Kultur Räume Berlin, represented by Kulturraum Berlin gGmbH, awards subsidised spaces for the artistic work of Berlin’s independent performing arts community as part of the Workspace Programme (ARP). The Workspace Programme is a funding instrument for providing and securing spaces for art and cultural activities in the state of Berlin.

In Neue Schönhauser Str. 18 in Berlin-Mitte, Kultur Räume Berlin is letting two subsidised writing spaces for the literature sector for long-term use.

The writing spaces are located in the light-filled top floor of a residential building dating from the 1970s. It would be hard to find a more central spot, the Weinmeisterstraße underground station (U8) is right on the doorstep. The space is a co-working space with four writing spaces in total; two of them (spaces 2 and 3) are now being let again, while the other two are already taken. A small adjoining room is available to all four tenants for meetings or phone calls. The spaces are let furnished: desk, desk chair, desk lamp and shelving unit are included in the rent. The spaces are accessible only via a staircase; there is no barrier-free access.

Location: Neue Schönhauser Straße 18, 10178 Berlin
Start of use: writing space 2 expected from 01.02.2027, writing space 3 expected from 01.03.2027
