About this location

The CFB is an international learning, meeting and cultural centre with many different activities in the fields of education, youth and mobility and has been developing its cultural programme for several years in collaboration with artists from Berlin’s independent scene.

On a total area of 4500 m², the CFB runs an educational centre with hotel rooms, meadows and a communal garden, seminar rooms and hosts rehearsals in its studio or on the stage of the cinema and theatre hall.

Together with its residents and partners, it is committed to combating discrimination, promoting sustainable development, strengthening social ties, living together and creating together in a context characterised by diversity.

Space and equipment

• Theatre stage:

8.5 x 10 m in an approx. 300 m² hall with seating. Backstage area with kitchen available. Floor plan and technical information here.

• Rehearsal studio:

80 m², with wooden sprung floor, lighting and sound system. Backstage area with kitchen and direct access to the outside area (garden). Floor plan and technical information here.

How do I book a space here?

The theatre stage or the rehearsal studio can be booked as part of the Kultur Räume Kontingente programme at a reduced rate of 5 euros/hour. For booking enquiries, please contact the Centre Francais Berlin directly. Use the online form on the CFB website to book a space. (insert link if necessary?). A confirmation of participation from Kultur Räume Kontingente is required.
