About this location
TATWERK | Performative Research
TATWERK is a production venue that focuses on accompanying artistic creation in the performing arts and its communicability to the audience. Behind the motto “Performative Research” lies the intention to create a laboratory for investigating those interactions in which the only reality that counts is the transient and communal experience of the performative act.
A network has grown up around the multifunctional space, which is enlivened as a rehearsal and presentation venue by Berlin- and Germany-based, but also international artists, an ecosystem of actors from the independent scene – artists, of course, but also curators and other venues and institutions – who together realise several projects and events.
